Community Engagement

Beverly’s Birthdays

Thanks to our partnership with Beverly’s Birthdays, we hosted three celebrations in East Liberty, where children had the chance to board Beverly’s Bus, choose fun gifts, and receive a Birthday Cheer Box tailored to their age. Siblings were also invited to join in and enjoy the music, food, treats, and games.

Community Meetings

We held 4 community meetings this year, both online and in-person, featuring guest speakers who addressed topics such as cybersecurity and health. These events strengthened community learning and exchange, and we look forward to hosting more in-person meetings at our new location.

Hola Bebé

Seven in-person workshops were held this year, welcoming parents who came together for lunch with their kids, shared their experiences, and learned about breastfeeding, WIC, and First Foods. A total of 54 moms joined this year’s sessions, which also included a special Mother’s Day celebration.

Family Fun Days

With five themed events —including Noche de Cultura, Trick-or-Treat, Valentine’s Day, Ice Skating, and Mother’s Day— we brought together 463 participants, strengthening family and community bonds through recreational and cultural activities.

Support Group

The Autism Support group expanded to include families with children with special needs, working alongside professionals in education, health, and psychology. The group also went on two field trips and took part in a neurodiversity festival in partnership with the organization Evolve.

Our Vision Continues

For this upcoming year, we are very excited to launch our inaugural fundraising event: “Vamos a…”, which will help us raise much-needed funds for the Latino Community Center and help our region learn about the different countries and cultures that make up Latin America.

We are also thrilled to expand into the first floor of our current location. It was an unexpected opportunity, but one we simply could not let pass.

Expect the center to continue strengthening its programming and to add more youth-centered programs, such as Nuestro Futuro, SOY PGH McKeesport, and more!

Your support transforms lives.
